Best Three Months Method

In Individual and Small Group Coaching sessions, Susan uses a framework of five perspectives (see below) through which to guide your active contemplation of the final three months of your life.

  • Physical - how do you want to be cared for during the last three months of your life?

  • Emotional - with whom do you want to be in relationship during the last three months of your life?

  • Mental - what do you want to leave behind as a legacy?

  • Spiritual - are there spiritual practices you want to guide you through the last three months of your life?

  • Practical - after you die, how do you want your body attended to?

Her role is to support you in this deep exploration with readings, journaling, meditations, artwork, videos and confidential, honest conversation to uncover the most meaningful elements of your life as you look back on it from the end. This approach works equally well with small group and individual coaching.

A Productive Process

The final product of your coaching time is a succinct roadmap to get you to the vision you have for yourself in each of the five perspectives.

Susan will provide a binder for you, containing your roadmap plus all the notes, drawings, plans, thoughts, and other materials you have utilized during the process. It will be a written record to share with your loved ones and to edit as your life changes and as your experience of dying and death expands.

The contents of the binder also serve as a simple reminder to focus your thoughts and activities on the priorities and people that matter most to you.

“Death is our friend precisely because it brings us into absolute and passionate presence with all that is here, that is natural, that is love”
